Please find below the breakdown of return costs for full pallets:
Return Responsibility:
Returns are the responsibility of the customer. However, if requested, we can assist by arranging a collection via Palletways, subject to confirmation from your local Palletways depot that the collection location and surrounding environment are suitable for pallet access and collection.
Cost Breakdown (per full pack):
- Original Delivery Charge: £85 (deducted regardless of who arranges the return, as the delivery to the customer's site has already been paid to Palletways)
- Return Delivery Charge: £85 (deducted only applicable if we arrange the return)
- Restocking Fee: £30 (deducted in all return cases)
Total Deductions:
- £200 per full pack (if we arrange the return)
- £115 per full pack (if you arrange the return yourself)
Based on our records, the cost of each return almost always exceeds this level. This is because we are charged both for dispatch from the warehouse and for the return being received back into the warehouse. In practice, these combined costs usually exceed £200, which we are generally unable to recover.
Northern Ireland Order:
The return cost for Northern Ireland orders is £340–£355 per pallet. As a principle, we only offer refunds for breakages exceeding 7%. Therefore, we strongly advise customers in Northern Ireland to order a little extra to cover any potential breakages or shortfall, as delivery costs are high and all consignments are dispatched from Ipswich, England.
We will proceed with the collection once the customer confirms and ensures the pallets are prepared according to Palletways' collection guidelines (clear photos are required in advance).
