Coping Stones Silver Grey Granite 900x300x50 From £25.50/pc
Our granite paving slabs and selected natural stone paving are supplied through long-established quarry production channels, allowing us to maintain consistent grading, stable colour tone and dependable structural performance. This approach ensures granite paving that is well suited to long-term use in UK outdoor environments.
Granite has been trusted in construction for generations due to its dense grain structure, high surface strength and natural resistance to weathering. Its understated appearance works equally well in private gardens and formal outdoor spaces, blending naturally with planting, architecture and surrounding materials.
Our most commonly specified shades include Silver Grey and Blue Grey. These neutral tones remain popular across the UK for their clean appearance, excellent weather resistance and ability to age gracefully over time.
Why Granite Paving Performs Well in the UK
Granite paving offers a balanced combination of traditional stone character and modern installation accuracy. A textured flamed surface provides reliable slip resistance, while sawn edges and controlled thickness allow for clean joint lines and accurate levels. Granite paving is commonly used for:
- Garden patios and terraces
- Walkways, courtyards and seating areas
- Driveways (50 mm thickness recommended)
- Commercial and public outdoor areas
- Both contemporary and heritage landscaping schemes
With key colours and sizes held in UK stock, we are able to support efficient nationwide delivery. Granite remains a preferred material for those seeking predictable performance, long service life and minimal ongoing maintenance.
Colours and Surface Treatments
Different surface finishes allow granite paving to suit a wide range of design requirements, from modern architectural layouts to more traditional settings:
- Flamed: Textured surface with strong slip resistance
- Fine Picked / Textured: Sharper, more refined appearance
- Cropped or Natural Split: Traditional edge detail with softer character
- Sawn & Flamed: Clean edges combined with a practical surface finish

Installation Guidance
Granite paving slabs are manufactured with a clear functional distinction between faces. The flamed or textured surface must always be installed facing upwards. The smooth sawn face is intended for the bedding layer and should not be used as the walking surface, particularly where slip resistance is required.
All granite paving should be laid on a full mortar bed. Partial bedding methods such as dot-and-dab or ring bedding are not suitable, as they compromise load distribution and long-term stability. A continuous mortar bed ensures the paving performs correctly under both domestic and commercial use.
Granite Slabs, Kerbs, Steps and Setts
In addition to paving slabs, our granite range includes kerbs, steps, setts and council-grade paving products. Maintaining consistent grading and reliable availability across these categories allows projects to be completed with a uniform finish and dependable performance.
Granite remains one of the most reliable paving materials available, valued for its strength, longevity and understated appearance. When installed correctly, it provides decades of service with minimal maintenance requirements.
Practical note: Adequate drainage beneath the paving and the use of a suitable exterior-grade jointing compound are essential to long-term performance.

How to Lay Granite Paving Slabs
Granite paving performs best when installed using a traditional full-mortar method suitable for the British climate. A well-compacted Type 1 sub-base should be prepared, with appropriate falls for drainage and solid edge restraints. Each slab should be bedded on approximately 30–40 mm of mortar, with an SBR-enhanced slurry primer applied to the underside to ensure proper adhesion.
